Saving and Visual Enhancements

A new functionality in v7.5 which lets you 'Save the column positions' for DBA Tools. You can quickly modify column positions by dragging and dropping into positions you want; when ADS restarts the same view is displayed. All the DBA Tools provide a consistent display and you need not edit column positions or widths each time you restart ADS. Another enhancement is the persistence of sort criteria in all DBA tools between refreshes. In tools such as the Session Manager, when data is refreshed in a specified interval and you have specified a sort column, it is retained across refreshes. A new feature has been added in all DBA tools to 'Reconnect' to the Server. You can now quickly Disconnect and re-establish connection to the Server by clicking on the 'Reconnect' icon in the toolbar. Another notable improvement is the formatted numeric values by locale and for the appropriate sizes of storage columns.

Feature Overview

  • Saves Column Position and Width - Columns position and width displayed in DBA Tools are saved when closed. When the tool is re-opened, it gives the same layout.
  • Saves Sort criteria between refreshes - When you have a sort parameter and the DBA tool has a refresh duration, the sort parameter is not lost on refresh.
  • Reconnect - New Reconnect Icon in all DBA tools to re-establish connection easily.
  • Numeric values are formatted by locale and the appropriate sizes indicated.
