MySQL Storage Manager

The MySQL Storage Manager now has storage information summaries for Storage Engines. The Engine Tab now displays:

  • A Summary of Engine Storage Information
  • This now includes Table Count, Rows, Data Size, Index Size, Total Size and Index Fraction

A database may contain tables using different storage engines. With the new storage engine tab, high-level storage information of Engines and Tables is easily obtained.

This helps in tracking overall database growth, and allows you to plan, initialize, allocate, manage and tune MySQL database objects for better performance.
