AquaFold releases Enterprise Sybase and MS SQL Server Database Administration Tools
Sunnyvale, CA -- Jan 23, 2007 -- AquaFold, Inc has released Aqua Data Studio 6.0, a powerful upgrade to its already versitile, multi-platform application that provides complete database administration and query tools for Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase, Informix, and PostgreSQL. With a single program, database managers can save time and money in the design, development and maintenance of enterprise relational databases.
Version 6.0 has new database administration tools for Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase ASE. MS SQL Server DBA Tools and Sybase DBA Tools have instance, storage, security, session and SQL Server Agent managers that allow you to view, modify, visualize and maintain storage resources while you manage users, roles, profiles and database sessions.
The OSX and Windows versions have become integrated with the operating systems, such that they are now indistinguishable from their native applications. This includes OSX screen menu bar, key mappings and toolbars for OSX and native support for Windows XP "Alt-Activated" mnemonics. It also has complete key mappings which now allow for full access to the application without the use of a mouse, tabbed document enhancements such as scrollable tabs for less clutter, tabbed document grouping for working tab comparisons and better organization and drag-n-droppable, renameable and expandable/collapseable tabs for reordering.
A new complete set of difference tools has been added that allow the user to quickly view the differences of two complete database schemas. Users now have the ability to view differences between individual schema objects, files, directory structures, SQL statements in the editor or even text in the new copy history provided by Aqua Data Studio. In addition, there are many new options for SQL and Procedure/Function editors, and entirely new editors such as text, HTML, XML and Oracle Package editors.
Version 6.0 includes a variety of enhancements to some of its already existing tools such as Query Analyzer, Query Builder, SQL History and Table Data editor. Some of these enhancements include but are not limited to a preview tab that displays the full SQL that is currently selected in the history list and a fill functionality that can fill down and fill right. The Table Data editor now also includes Excel like functionality to allow users an easy and familiar way of editing data directly into the database.
